iKON’s album released on the 13 took No.1 on Oricon daily chart
iKON dominated the top place on Oricon chart upon their debut in Japan. iKON’s debut album “WELCOME BACK” released in Japan on the 13 this month recorded 53,000 sales, taking No.1 on Oricon’s daily album chart on the day of its release. Notably, iKON has taken No.1 on Oricon chart in Japan upon their debut in the country, even though the team made their official debut in Korea only some 100 days ago. The record shows how big popularity iKON is enjoying in Japan. iKON’s debut album released in Japan includes Japanese version of hit songs such as “MY TYPE”, and “RHYTHM TA”, “AIRPLANE” that swept top ranks on music charts of Korea, as well as Japanese version of “CLIMAX”, “JUST ANOTHER BOY”, and “SINOSIJAK”. As such, iKON is proving their reputation as a “monstrous rookie”, taking top places on charts not only in Korea but also in Japan upon their official debut. iKON will hold special events for more active communication with fans on the 22 at Tokyo Toyos PIT and on the 23 at Osaka Tojima River Forum. Then, iKON will begin full-fledged promotion in Japan by carrying out a variety of media promotion activities. Plus, iKON will hold Japan Arena concert tour next month. Total 14 concerts will be held in five cities including Fukuoka and Tokyo, to entertain total 146,000 fans. Meanwhile, iKON will meet Korean fans by holding their second concert “iKON - iKONCERT 2016 'SHOWTIME TOUR” on January 30 and 31 at Gymnastics Arena of Olympic Park in Seoul. Fas have big anticipation for iKON’s second concert, since the concert will present performances of iKON’s new songs released since their debut concert in October last year, as well as much improved style of iKON. iKON’s second concert is drawing a big attention already, recording sell-out of all the tickets upon the opening of the ticket sale.
